For example one time during my adventures at Nashoba Brooks School the card collection/game called Yu Gi Oh was sweeping the school. Yu Gi Oh is a Japaneesse Card game just like what Pokemon and Magic the Gathering are today. Flashing back I did have a good deck. But it was no match for Carson Hill's powerhouse deck. Earlier that day I was challenged by my good friend Carson to a gentlemens match on Yu Gi Oh. Now was I ready to just get my butt kicked by Carson? NO I WANTED TO WIN!
But I knew in order for me to defeat such a monarch of the game, I would need a highly ranked card, which I didn't have in my possession. Childish competitiveness, and impulsivity got the best in me, so I strolled over to Jack Tyrie. I pleaded for him to give me the Gold Edition, Ultra Rare Crush Card Virus which would let me take any card I please from my opponents deck. This card was ultimately unstoppable.
After the hard fought battle, I prevailed. But instead of being happy, I felt and emptiness inside. Something didn't feel right. I started crying my eyes out. Carson was the first one over to ask if I was okay. I explained that I Jack gave me the Crush Card Virus for the match and that I won the match unfairly. Carson's facial expressions didn't change as he said that it was alright, and that it wasn't a big deal.
Now today I know that a true friend will forgive no matter how big the transgression.
