Have you ever been exposed to mother nature's finest? When I went to Africa, I witnessed a pack of lions close in on a mother cheetah and her two cubs in the Masaai Mara. It was a classic game of cat and mouse. The cheetah family pranced into lion territory. The cheetahs dispersed with the lions surrounding them. We were an arms length distance witnessing this incredible encounter. My Father, Mother, Brother, and Grandmother all watching the standoff in complete awe of nature. The lions continue to encroach on the cheetahs. The mother sprints at full speed away, leaving her babies behind. In the bright sunlight of the morning in the Maasi Mara the cheetahs are trapped. The cheetahs look petrified as the lionesses move closer. All of the sudden the mother comes back and guides the cheetahs to safety, all running as fast as they possibly can. Just like that the cheetahs are safe and the lions return home without food. It is amazing to be a witness of life and death in is mists of Africa. I'm not sure if today, some of those cheetahs are alive. All I know is that they dodged a bullet (aka lion) that day.
