The white blanket
The specks of white
All equally unique
Make a blanket of white--
Until a call is received from Jerry Ward
The the snow's work is done
A time of cozy-ness
Whilst the snow plummets down
We are inside, watching and admiring the site
Covered and blankets and the heat turned up high
We rest and rest until dawn
"Ugh" you hear, muttering from my voice
Pushing the boulders and mountains of snow
Until there is a break of path between the whiteness
And only then, you walk inside and finally grab a cup of coco
The steep slope
I have a bird's eye view of Loon Mountain--
Tiny blobs of overstuffed pink and blue
Tethered like puppies on leashes.
My eyes drift upwards,
There are kids with impeccable pizza form
When the chair jolts on tower 17/23
The spherical shaped, icy moguls
Are being attempted by the "pros"
But then I see the sign:
"prepare to lift bar,"
"unload here with your ski tips up"
Now it's my turn
I put a lot of time and effort into these poems, and for once, I feel these poems actually sound good! All of these poems above, have meaning! Every type of poetry has meaning, even if it is interpreted in a way, the author never thought of. This is why poetry is so unique from other arts. Instead of physically drawing a scene on a canvas. Poetry imaginatively draws many different scenes on paper through words. It's all about how you internalize, and interpret the authors words. That's how you can succeed in a poetic career, it's if you persevere and try to find a great meaning on what you are writing about.
